Such wonderful staff. The hotel, the Cafe. if I could spend my lest few years here looking at the city and the water!
No real complaints, just wanted to advise the wind coming in from the river is COLD, get the extra blanket when you check in.

This hotel is incredibly charming, the staff is courteous, the cafe is top notch! It's a place you stay because it also has a lot of personality and atmosphere while at the same time being a bargain!
The beds are not as comfortable as your usual hotel
The walls are thin. You can hear a lot of amorous activity around you.
We took some moonshine from the room's goodie basket only to discover after we left that it had been watered down (it froze in our car). I imagine someone drank some and didn't want to pay for it. This is just a flag for the hotel, they may want to offer options that show any tampering.

I am the owner/broker of a boutique real estate company in New York City and I am always looking for a place to book my customers, clients and or friends. August 2013 I booked a room for a friend. The manager and staff were professional, friendly and very accomodating. I went to the hotel and was amazed at the location, size, service, staff, lounge and the restaurant Chez Gitane. My friend who travels worldwide was very impressed as well. The hospitality was above and beyond. It is fabulous and unique.

Thanks for stay The Jane. Very clean cabins, numbers. A beautiful kind on the river from a window. A clean bath and a toilet. A pleasant clean bed and towels, a dressing gown. It of anything that rooms small as cabins, it even is interesting. The Jane is with history. The fine ancient lift. Polite service. An ancient lobby. It of anything that in some parts hotel proceeds some years repair. Here present New York and atmosphere. Interesting people. Here there is no plasti, here a lambent humour and the good relation. Welcom and you will appear in atmosphere of times of Titanic. Take a taxi from Times Square all for 12 USD. Nice region on river bank Hudson. Almost the center Manhattan. This hotel is suitable people who like different travel.

The rooms are tiny, but completely efficient and quite charming. The staff was above average, friendly and helpful. The shared bathrooms were kept clean. I can't wait to see the other improvements completed and am looking forward to future visits.
There were some odd odors, incense, cleaning and/or refinishing agents, and the smell of decades of cigarette smoke. Nothing that won't be resolved as improvements are made.
